Do you have what it takes to lead a team of kitchen staff in one of Whistler's newest, most innovative hotels? Are you a fast-starting, hardworking perfectionist who can run a kitchen like a well-oiled machine even when the pressure's cranked up to max? If so, we'd like to hear from you.

Pangea, a groundbreaking new pod hotel in the heart of Whistler's pedestrian Village, is looking for a Kitchen Leader to help lead its back-of-house operations. You'll assist with ordering and stock control, staff training and scheduling, cost management and menu development, and generally supervising the day-to-day running of our relatively small but remarkably well designed kitchen.

You'll be someone who can impart and maintain order and calm in the kitchen, ensuring our customers are thrilled with not only the quality of the food they receive but the speed, efficiency and accuracy of the service. You'll be a leader in the true sense of the word, being able to get the very best out of your team through the respect you earn rather than the authority you impose. Needless to say, maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and protecting the reputation of Pangea will be your ever-present guiding lights.

Naturally you'll bring bucket-loads of enthusiasm to the role, but you'll also understand what it takes to create a peaceful and pleasant working environment. As Pangea's Kitchen Leader you'll have a broad remit. In addition to the core responsibilities of helping supervise a small though busy kitchen, managing inventory, setting rosters and training staff, you'll be helping to further develop and perfect an exciting menu for our budget-conscious guests.


Minimum of 1 year working as a cook in a commercial kitchen
Solid understanding of food safety regulations
